change seems really familiar. obama keeps preaching tax cuts for 95% of working households. does that make our economic status any better if the government keeps spending and he raises taxes on all who are "non-eligible" for the cuts?
Just wondering, but did Andrew Jackson actually contribute a large amount in paying off the national debt, or was it mostly the House dealing with the debt as in these two cases?
Were Obama's "promises of change" deficit based? If so, why is the Democratic Congress, who supported Obama's promises to throttle the companies and policies "responsible" for the economic crisis throughout his entire campaign, allowing the companies to suck more money out of the government rather than put a stop to them?
Curious...did Clinton's lowering the national debt have more to do with his switch to moderate behavior when Congress changed parties or because of his own work?

ReplyDeleteMuch of the debt was lowered due to reduced military spending (end of Cold War) as well as the stock market boom.
